Revolution Mastering are proud to unveil their fab new PMC fully active BB5 monitoring system.
Head engineer Nick Bennett 'After living with the passive BB5 system for around 8 months, I felt I should be getting more from these highly regarded mastering monitors. My hunch was right!'
With the help of first class studio tech Chris Roberts of MJQ, we customised the PMC speakers by disabling the internal passive crossover and assigning that task to an external active unit which now feeds an impressive rack of Bryston amps.'
The difference is huge - they now sound like I always felt they should - deep engaging bass, detailed midrange and accurate high frequencies.
The most important single advantage with going fully active is being able to independently control the level going to each driver in both speakers.
This allowed us to tune the BB5s to match the Munro Associates designed acoustics perfectly.
Recent projects mixed / mastered on the new monitoring system at Revolution include a Zendell production for Suzuki South Africa and some tracks for Leona Lewis producer Barry B.

Many thanks to Zendell for getting our website up and running. We plan to keep you updated with all the latest news and views from the Revolution camp. So, hopefully now that our new complex is now running steadily, we are also looking at creeping up the google search engine pages!
